Teaching Philosophy
Being a runner, I like to compare teaching to running a race. Doing well in a race is similar to doing well in academics. The individual is always growing; working on maximizing strengths and minimizing weaknesses. There are a lot of people who are involved on supporting the individual on race day but being successful is up to the individual.
My role as a teacher is to create a safe environment where my students are supported and presented with problems to face using the tools that they learn in my class. I am responsible for giving them the best tools that I can offer. The goal isn't to create passion about the subject but for them to understand the purpose of the content and how the skills involved in the class are useful outside of class, in the real world.
